Hello, It’s P&T IT BROTHER. Today, we will be learning about a password reset disk. In case when you forget your login password in Windows 10 and Windows 8. What would you do ? Maybe you can try to crack the password if you are a computer expert. We also have seen someone who re-installed the Windows because of a forgotten password. To avoid that, you can use Password Reset Disk. It is a disk (on a USB memory stick) that resets your password when you want. In Windows 10 and Windows 8, you can create the Password Reset Disk. How to create Password Reset Disk in Windows 10 & 8

 
“This is a prevention. You must create this Password Reset Disk before you forget the password. After forgetting your password, you cannot make the password reset disk”

  1. Go to “Control Panel“. (In Windows 10 and Windows 8, bring your mouse cursor to the left bottom corner of your screen, and do a right click, then click “Control Panel“)
  2. Find and click “User Accounts“.
  3. Connect a USB drive.
  4. Click “Create a password reset disk” on the left menu.
  5. Click “Next, choose a USB drive.
  6. Click “Next“, and type your current account password, then click “Next“.
  7. This will create a password reset disk of your current Windows user account.
  8. When you forget the password in the future, you can connect this USB drive to reset the forgotten password on the Windows login screen, and follow the instructions, then you can enter new password. When you entered a wrong password, it will show an option “Reset password“. Click it to reset the password.

You just have created a password reset disk. 😀 All you need to do is to keep your USB password reset disk in case when you forget your password in near future. When you forget the password, just connect the USB password reset disk, and click “Reset Password” on the Windows login screen.
