Are you getting this error message above when installing iTunes on your computer? This error message occurred due to data corruptions. There are two methods to get rid off the error message 7 (Windwos error 126). Please follow the instruction to resolve the problem.

 

Method 01. Update Microsoft .NET Framework

01. Visit this site (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718).

02. Download and Install the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework on your computer.

03. Once installed, Reboot your computer and try it again. (If this is not working, go to Method 02 below)

 

Method 02. Uninstall iTunes completely & Re-install iTunes.

01. Go to Control Panel > Programs & Features (Uninstall Programs)

02. Find out and Uninstall the iTunes software and all the related softwares in the followings:

  • iTunes
  • Quick Time
  • Apple Software Update
  • Bonjour
  • Apple Mobile Device Support
  • Apple Application Support

02. Once you uninstalled them from the control Panel, Go to My Computer > C: Drive > Programs

03. Find out and Delete those folders in the following:

  • C:\Program Files\iTunes
  • C:\Program Files\QuickTime
  • C:\Windows\System32\QuickTime
  • C:\Windows\System32\QuickTimeVR
  • C:\Program Files\iPod
  • C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
  • C:\Program Files\Bonjour

04. Restart your computer and Try to Reinstall iTunes again.
