Cannot connect to camera error when you try to load camera on Nexus 5 or other android phones? Camera has stopped working unexpectedly ?

It is very common issue that many of Nexus smartphone owners are experiencing. Sepcially, the can’t connect to camera issue often happens on Nexus 5. Currently, there is no true answer for this since you can see this error when you load camera from many different third party apps, but there are few things you can try. Also often on android based devices, camera has stopped unexpectedly error occurs too. The following method also can be tried to fix the problem. We are hoping that Google will resolve the issue quickly as possible.

Try the following one at a time: Can’t connect to camera | Camera has stopped unexpectedly

 

Method 1. Before you use camera funtion from any third party apps, close the camera app on your Nexus.

Method 2. Close all apps and re-load again and try

Method 3. Go to Settings — Developer options — find “Use NuPlayer” and uncheck it & restart.

(If you can’t find the Developer options, go to Settings — About phone — Touch “Build number” 7 times to enable the Developer option)

Method 4. If you have Android Kitkat 4.4, go to Settings — Developer options — Select runtime — make sure it is Dalvik instead of ART

Method 5. Restart your Nexus 5 or Nexus 4 everytime this error occurs.

Method 6. Backup everything and reset the device
