Customized Gaming Desktop Build – June 2017

Hello everyone~ It’s P&T IT BROTHER! We are back again. It’s been a long time since we built a gaming computer for our customers. Most of our previous jobs were about building server computers for small business. For server applications. Today, we are building a gaming PC!! Yes! One of our customer wanted us to build one for gaming and working. The budget was under $1200 dollars. The main processor is Intel’s Kaby Lake 7th generation, and the main video card is Nvidia GeForce series. Let’s build one together 😀 😀 😀

So, What is the spec? CPU – Intel Core i5-7500

Here is the main processor. It’s Intel’s 7th generation CPU. Code name is Kaby Lake. To be exact, it’s Intel Core i5-7500, and it requires a motherboard with LGA 1151. Also, it works with DDR4 memory for faster processing speed than the old DDR3.

Motherboard – ASUS Prime B250M-C

It’s an ASUS motherboard which supports the latest Intel’s 7th gen processors. Capable of faster DDR4. It is LGA 1151. We went ASUS because of ASUS reputation for reliability.

Memory – G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000 PC4-24000 16GB

For memory, we chose the fast G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000 PC4-2400 memory. Two 8GB for 16GB total. Nice!

Video Card – ASUS Dual GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 OC Edition

For graphics card, we purchased Asus Dual GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 OC edition. This will perform great with Intel Core i5-7500, and G.SKILL DDR4 memory. As the processor advances, this one now consumes less power, and therefore no need of external 6 pin power. You don’t need to worry about getting a power supply with the 6 pin cable.

Storage – Samsung 250GB SSD 850 EVO & WD Blue 1TB HDD

Primary disk is Samsung 250GB 850 EVO SSD, and for secondary disk, we have Western Digital Blue series 1TB. We are going to install Windows 10 64 Bit on the SSD, and we are going to use the WD Blue 1TB for storage. Sounds like a good idea right?

Power Supply – Thermaltake TR2 600 Watt PSU

Thermaltake makes find PSU and they are not expensive. They are not high end unit, but it does decent job when it comes to constant power supplying, and many of their products have high efficiency rating. 600 Watt is more than enough for a system like this one.

Case – Corsair Carbide Series Spec-01 Mid-Tower Gaming Case

gaming_pc_computer_build5

The case is Corsair’s Carbide Gaming Mid-Tower case. It’s got invisible side so you can see inside of your system. There are two USB ports in the front, and MIC jack plus Earphone jack.

It’s got Dual Fans, great! Let’s install this thing on the motherboard. As mentioned, this video card does not require any extra power. It’s green!

Organize the wires!

It is really important to organize the wires. If you don’t it will look so messy, and you will not want to look at your computer. Since we have a clear side, we wanted this machine looks amazing through the clear case. Looks much better!

Let’s turn it on!
