Method 01. Disk Cleanup

Step 01. Go to Windows Start Menu

Step 02. In the search box, Type disk cleanup > Disk cleanup icon will be shown on the list > Click on it

Step 03. It will ask you to choose driver to perform the disk cleanup > Select Drive (C:) that has Windows 7 installed

Step 04. Click on Clean up System Files button

Step 05. Check the box to Previous Windows Installation > Click Ok

 

Method 02. Command Prompt

Step 01. Go to Windows Start Menu > Type cmd in the search field > Open cmd

Step 02. Type takeown /F C:\Windows.old\* /R /A in the command prompt windows and hit Enter

Step 03. Type cacls C:\Windows.old\*.* /T /grant administrators:F and hit Enter > It will ask you Yes or No > Type Y and hit Enter

Step 04. Type rmdir /S /Q C:\Windows.old\ and hit Enter and your done!
