We are going to share an instruction of performing hard reset and soft reset on Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Dual smartphone. Here are few important things to check before performing hard reset.

  • Try the soft reset first before performing hard reset.
  • Back up your important data such as picture and video files.
  • Try to fully charge your phone before performing hard reset.

 

Soft Reset

Step 01. You don’t have to turn off your device. Just turn the screen off by pressing the power button.

Step 02. Now press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons at the same time until the phone turns off.

Step 03. Your phone is now turned off. Turn it on. It’s done!

 

Hard Reset (4 Methods)

Method 01

Step 01. Navigate to Settings > Backup & Reset > Factory Data Reset > Reset Phone > Erase Everything

 

Method 02

Step 01. Please download and install the Flash tool software on the Sony official website. (http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/)

Step 02. completely turn off the device.

Step 03. Press and Hold the Volume Down button and connect to USB cable holding down volume down button.

Step 04. Now you will have option menu on the computer screen. Follow the instruction to process hard resetting.

 

Method 03

Step 01. Please open the dial pad (dialer app) on your phone.

Step 02. Now type the following code: *#*#7378423#*#*

Step 03. When you have the menu, please select Customization Settings and then select Reset Customization.

Step 04. It will ask you to confirm. Tab on OK to process hard resetting.

 

Method 04

Step 01. Please turn off your mobile phone completely.

Step 02.Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power keys at the same time until you have option menu on the screen.

Step 03. Select Recovery option with volume key and select it with power key.

Step 04. When the Android Logo with the yellow triangle appears on the screen, press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down together to boot to recovery mode.

Step 05. In the recovery mode, navigate to wipe data/factory reset using volume button and select it using power button.

Step 06. Select Yes – delete all user data and then select reboot system now.
