There are many softwares that are not compatible with Mac OS X and a lot of Mac users are struggling with this issue. In order to figure it out is to install Windows operating system on your Macbook. Today, We are going to share how to install Windows 7 (no matter what version it is) on your Macbook thorough Bootcamp so you can run any programs that requires Windows operating system on your Mac OS X. It’s simple but it takes some time to get it’s job done.

 

NOTE: Things you should prepare to install Windows 7 on Mac OS X

1. Windows 7 installation file (ex. Windows7.ios)

2. Empty 8GB USB that is formatted by ExFAT

 

Step 01. Connect your empty USB formatted by ExFAT to your Macbook Pro or Air before starting. (USB capacity must be 8GB at least)

 

Step 02. Go to Application > Utilities > Open Boot Camp Assistant

Step 03. You will get Boot Camp Assistant Windows on the screen. Click on Continue.

Step 04. Make sure to Check all boxes with red lines and Continue.

Step 05. Click Choose button to locate the Windows ios installation file > Click Continue > It will ask you to format your USB. Click on Continue to process the next step.

Step 06. Now it’s creating Windows installer files on your USB. It takes some time. Please wait until it finish.

Step 07. As soon as it finish, you need to set the partitions to make a space for Windows 7 on your hard drive. (You can control the size by dragging the dot between OS X box and Windows box. > If you done setting the partition, Click Install.

Step 08. Now, your Macbook will be reboot to install Windows 7 and leading you to set the Windows 7 configurations.

Step 08. You will get Windows partition selection page while processing the installation. Select the partition that you are going to install Windows 7 and Click Format and then Click Next. (Note. The partition must be formatted to process the next step)

Step 09. Now you are done! Enjoy Windows operating system on your Macbook!

Tips. How to go back to Mac OS X from Windows 7 and to Windows 7 from Mac OS X.

* Windows 7:  If you see at the bottom in the right corner, you will see a black diamond icon. Click that icon and Select Restart in OS X.

* Mac OS X: At the top in the left corner, You will see Apple icon. Click that icon > System Preferences > Startup Disk > Select Windows Hard Drive and Click the Restart Button.
