Hard reset removes all of your data such as pictures and videos. Since it deletes everything, please create a backup for your data if you have important data to save. Also we recommend to wipe cache partition first before hard resetting because wiping cache partition might resolve the issue without removing any data. Just few things to check before starting to perform hard reset.

  • Soft Reset: It’s safe to perform soft reset first before hard resetting. Problems might be resolved keeping your data and settings.
  • BackUp: Hard resetting erases all of your data and personal settings. Please backup your important data.
  • Battery: It’s safe to fully charge your phone before starting.

 

Wipe Cache Partition

01. Completely Power Off your mobile device.

02. Press and Hold Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time and release all buttons when the HTC download mode appears on the screen.

03. In HTC download mode, navigate to reboot to bootloader using volume down button and press power button to select it.

04. Now some options in colour will appears on the screen. Press volume down key to navigate to boot to recovery mode and press power key to select it.

05. If red exclamation mark with a triangle appears, press Power + Volume Up together.

06. Select wipe cache partition using volume down and power buttons.

 

Hard Reset (Factory default settings)

01. Power Off your mobile device completely.

02. Press and Hold Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time and release all buttons when the HTC download mode appears on the screen.

03. In HTC download mode, navigate to reboot to bootloader using volume down button and press power button to select it.

04. Now some options in colour will appears on the screen. Press volume down key to navigate to boot to recovery mode and press power key to select it.

05. If red exclamation mark with a triangle appears, press Power + Volume Up together.

06. Select wipe data/factory reset using volume down and power buttons. When it’s asking to confirm, select Yes.

07. When you get a message “data wipe complete”, Select Reboot system now.
