But before performing hard reset, we recommend you to perform soft reset (wipe cache partition) first, because problems might be resolved by soft reset. Today we are going to share how to perform hard reset and soft reset on HTC Desire 526. Before starting, please check if you fully charge your phone battery and backup your important data.

 

Soft Reset (Wiping Cache)

Step 01. Please turn off your phone completely.

Step 02. Press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons at the same time until the boot mode appears on the screen.

Step 03. Select Recovery Mode using the volume and power keys.

Step 04. An android logo laying down will appears on the screen. Now Press the Power button briefly.

Step 05. Press volume down button to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition and press power button to select.

 

Hard Reset

Step 01. Make sure that your phone is completely turned off.

Step 02. Press and hold Volume Up + Power buttons at the same time until the boot mode appears on the screen.

Step 03. Select Recovery Mode using the volume and power keys.

Step 04. An android logo laying down will appears on the screen. Now Press the Power button briefly.

Step 05. Press volume down button to navigate to Wipe Data/Factory Reset and press power button to select.

Step 06. Select Yes – Delete all user data. It will start to wipe all data and settings.

Step 07. When the process is done, select Reboot System Now.
