How do I delete or remove web history on Google Chrome version 57.0.2987.133 and above?
If you are a fan of Google Chrome web browser, you will know at least by now, that something has been changed. Yes, the web history and cookies (saved form data, saved password, downloaded website files, visited websites, and more). In older version of Google Chrome, when you go to Settings, you can also delete history and cookie, but on later version of Google Chrome (we have version 57.0.2987.133), you cannot delete web history in Settings anymore. How to remove history and cookie on Google Chrome
- Click the three dots on the top-right of Google Chrome web browser.
- This time, we are not clicking the “Settings“, but place cursor on “History“.
- This will show you some of your recent visited website, and History button. Click “History“.
- This is where you can manage your web history. Click “Clear browsing data“.
- Choose all categories that you want to delete, then click “Clear browsing data” button to finish.
- You are done!
As you see in above picture, you cannot remove history in Google Chrome Settings anymore. You need to click “History” on the Google Chrome system menu. It is unfortunate for the existing Chrome users, but we need to get used to the new technology..
