01. Capturing the whole screen.

simply in order to capture the entire screen and save, Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 3 at the same time. The screenshot will be saved to your desktop.
 

02. Capturing a part of the screen.

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4 and then the cursor will be turned to a “Crosshair” icon. Click and drag it to select the area you want and then release it. The image should be saved to your desktop. If you want to cancel, Press ESC.
 

03. Capturing a specific part of the screen.

Press Command (⌘) + Shift + 4 and then Press Space Bar. Move your camera mouse pointer over the area you want to highlight it, then Click it. The image will be added to your desktop.
 

04. One More Tip.

Actually, The Capturing Screenshots Software is already installed on MacBooks. You can easily capture screenshots using this software. Please go to Application -> Utilities -> Grab (A icon with Scissor). Launch Grab software and go to Capture section on the menu at the top of the screen.
