Here we are sharing an instruction of performing hard reset & soft reset on HTC One A9 smartphone. There are few important things to check before you start to perform hard reset. Firstly, fully charge your phone before starting. With less battery power, your phone could be turned off unexpectedly while progressing. Secondly, try to back up your important data. Hard resetting deletes all of your data and personal settings. If you are ready, Let’s get it started!

 

Wipe Cache Partition on HTC ONE A9

01. Please Power off your phone completely.

02. Press and Hold Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time and release all buttons when the HTC download option menu appears on the screen.

03. In HTC download mode, navigate to reboot to bootloader using volume down button and press power button to select it.

04. Now some options in colour will appears on the screen. Press volume down key to navigate to boot to recovery mode and press power key to select it.

05. If red exclamation mark with a triangle appears, press Power + Volume Up together.

06. Select wipe cache partition using volume down and power buttons.

 

Hard Reset on HTC ONE A9

01. Turn off your phone completely.

02. Press and Hold Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time and release all buttons when the HTC Logo appears on the screen.

03. In HTC download mode, navigate to reboot to bootloader using volume down button and press power button to select it.

04. Now some options in colour will appears on the screen. Press volume down key to navigate to boot to recovery mode and press power key to select it.

05. If red exclamation mark with a triangle appears, press Power + Volume Up together.

06. Select wipe data/factory reset using volume down and power buttons. When it’s asking to confirm, select Yes.

07. When you get a message “data wipe complete”, Select Reboot system now.
