Today, We are sharing how to get rid of the error message “Your Profile could not be opened correctly” on Windows & Mac OS X operating system. This error message usually occurs when you are trying to open Google Chrome web browser due to data corruption. Here is the instruction below, Please follow the steps to fix the issue.
Windows 7 & Windows 8
Step 01. Close the Chrome web browser.
Step 02. Locate to C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\
Step 03. Delete these two files “Web Data” & “Web Data-journal”
Step 04. Try to open Google Chrome web browser.
Mac OS X
Step 01. Close Chrome web browser first.
Step 02. Go to application > Utilities > Terminal
Step 03. Change directory (cd) to
/Users/{user}/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default
Step 04. Delete Web Data & History files:
rm -rf History*; rm -rf Web\ Data;
Step 05. Try to open Google Chrome web browser.
