Solder pastes are made of tiny solder balls with flux, and they are basically same as solder wires, but sometimes, use of solder paste makes a soldering job easier and quicker than the soldering irons. When you have a chipset with many legs, or when you have a tight working space, you can use solder paste and save your time and effort. All you need to do is applying hot air to the solder paste.
