Windows 7 Login Error – User profile service failed the logon User profile cannot be loaded

Did you get this message “User profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded” even though you type in the right password? This issue usually occurred when the user profile data is corrupted. Today, We are going to share how to figure out this problem.  Please follow the instruction.

 

Step 01. First, You have to boot to safe mode. In order to boot to safe mode, Turn off your computer > Turn on > Keep tapping F8 key until the Advanced Boot Options screen appears. > Select Safe Mode.

 

Step 02. Go to Windows Start Menu > Type regedit in the search field.

 

Step 03. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

 

Step 04. Right Click on the registry key with the red arrow > Click on Rename and add .ba at the end of the registry key. (ex. S-1-5-21-1725417746-2877350404-2950783015-1001.ba)

 

 

Step 05. Right Click on the registry key with the red arrow > Click on Rename and remove only .bak at the end of the registry key. (ex. S-1-5-21-1725417746-2877350404-2950783015-1001)

 

 

Step 06. Right Click on the first registry key again > Click on Rename and Add k at the end of the registry key. (ex. S-1-5-21-1725417746-2877350404-2950783015-1001.bak)

 


 
 

Step 07. Click the registry key without .bak. In the right pane, Double Click on RefCount and Type 0 in the Value data field.

 

 

Step 08. Double Click on State as well and Type 0 in the Value data field.

 

 

Step 09. Reboot your computer and try to login with your password again. Hope this helps to solve the issues.
