Windows 7 – Auto Login Registry (Regedit Password)

Sometimes, it’s annoying to type in password when logging in Windows 7. If there is a window user who don’t want to type in the password every time login in, Try to follow these steps. It will let you login automatically without typing the password.

 

Step 01. Go to Windows Start Menu > Type regedit in the search field.

 

Step 02. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

 

Step 03. Double Click on AutoAdminLogon in the right pane, and Change the value data to 1.

 

Step 04. Double Click on DefaultUserName, Set the Value to your username.

 

Step 05. Double Click on DefaultDomainName, Set the Value to your computer domain name. (Note. Only need this step, If your computer has joined a domain.)

 

Step 06. Create a New STRING Value by clicking right button of your mouse anywhere in the right pane.

 

Step 07. Name the STRING value as DefaultPassword, and set the value to your user password.

 

Step 08. Reboot your computer.
