Should I upgrade to Windows 10 now ? – Upgrading from Windows 8 & 7

Should I upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 8 or Windows 7 ?

People wanted to know that if they are okay to upgrade to Windows 10 since Microsoft is providing free upgrade for one year from the release date. How is Windows 10 ? Is it better ? Is it faster ? Is it safer ?

Unfortunately, so many people who upgraded to Windows 10 recently are suffering from variety of Windows glitches and bugs… (activation problem, reserving problem, black screen problem, screen flashing problem, network problem, system crash, etc …) Generally, users may find glitches from a newly developed software, (this is Windows!) but something worse is happening to the Windows 10. Even for us, we tried to upgrade to Windows 10 few weeks ago, and we are still with Windows 8.1. (Windows 10 upgrade failed, and we are not able to do FREE upgrade due to black screen bug) Also, many of our customer brought in their Windows 10 upgraded laptops with problems. (screen flashing …)

Here is what we would like to tell you when you are considering to upgrade to Windows 10:

    1. Make sure that your computer (desktop or laptop) supports Windows 10. Look for Windows 10 drivers for your computer. (you can go to your computer’s manufacturer website to see or motherboard manufacturer) If there is no Windows 10 drivers available, unfortunately, it is not recommended to upgrade to Windows 10.

    1. When you upgrade to Windows 10, backup every important file that you have. Also make a system image of your previous Windows in case you need to roll back.

  1. If you can, wait until the Windows 10 becomes stable. Your Windows 8 or Windows 7 won’t expire yet. Here is the information on Windows expiry dates: https://www.pntbrother.com/windows-expiry-dates-windows-lifecycle-windows-support-end-dates/

We decided to keep our main computers with Windows 8, and we will try to do Windows 10 upgrade on our secondary computer. ( to provide solution for Windows 10 problems to our blog visitors 😀 😀 😀 )

Thank you for reading, and have a great day !
