The 6 worked fine after completing the backup however the Mac kept getting the 5002 error whenever I tried to login into iTunes. I completed steps 1 & 2, indicated above, however was still getting the error. After doing some further research ‘deleting my wish list from the 6’ then logging back into iTunes on the Mac fixed the issue. How deleting a wish list is related to this type of error is for me a mystery however it worked.
