iOS 8 – Factory Resetting & Back Up on iPad Air & Mini

Are you trying to reset your iPad Air to factory default settings? but don’t know how? don’t worry! Today, We are going to share how to do factory reset and back-up on your iPad Air and iPad Mini. There are 6 different types of resets on iPad (Reset all settings, Erase All Content and Settings, Reset Network Settings, Reset Keyboard Dictionary, Reset Home Screen Layout, Reset Location & Privacy).  This time, We will talk about the erase all content and settings. But you must back-up all your important files such as pictures, songs, documents, and etc, before resetting your iPad. To do all these things step by step, please follow the instruction to set your iPad to factory settings.

 

How to make back up files on your iPad Air & Mini

Step 01. Here you have two choices. You can back-up through iCloud or your computer. To back-up through iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud > tab on Backup

 

Step 02. To backup through your computer, connect your iPad Air & Mini to your computer and open iTunes. And then Click Back Up Now button.

How to Reset to Factory Settings on iPad Air & Mini

Step 01. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings

Step 02. After reset your iPad, it will ask you to restore from back-up files while setting up. If you want to restore from the back-up files (iCloud or your own computer), you can restore from the back-up files. If you don’t want to restore from the back-up files, you can just skip that part.
