How to attach a file to email – Gmail, Hotmail(Outlook)

How to  attach a file (picture, document, and etc) to email ?

 
Hello, Hello! The weather is getting cold.. Lately, people ask us how to attach a file to email. Yes. It is really simple thing too us because we started use email since late 1990’s. We are used to email, but many senior people aren’t. So we are going to learn how to attach files and pictures when you are sending an email to your friends. There are variety of email service provides today, but we are going to work on Gmail (Google Email Service) and Hotmail (or Outlook).
 

Gmail – Login first

  1. First, login to your Gmail. You will need to go to Gmail homepage, and then do a login.
  2. When you are logged in, you will see your inbox.
  3. Click the red colour “COMPOSE” button on the left side menu.


 

Gmail – Let’s attach a file

  1. After clicking the “COMPOSE” button, you can now compose a message.
  2. Enter “To” email address in the email address field. (example. info@pntbrother.com)
  3. Enter “Subject” in the subject field. (example. Hello It’s me)
  4. Enter “Contents” in the contents field. (example. Hi How are you ?)
  5. In the bottom, click a clip shaped icon “Attach files“.
  6. This will open a file explorer, and you can choose files that you want to send.
  7. Use the left side search interface, locate the file that you want to send. (example. If the picture is saved in “Pictures”, click “Pictures”)
  8. Now, select the file by clicking it once, and click “Open” to attach it to your email.
  9. If you have more files to send, repeat step 5 to 8.
  10. Click “Send” to send the email.


 

Hotmail(Outlook) – Login first

  1. Go to Hotmail or Outlook home page, and do login first.
  2. www.hotmail.com or www.outlook.com

Hotmail(Outlook) – Let’s attach a file

  1. Click the “New” button on the top menu to compose a message.
  2. Enter “To” email address in the email address field. (example. info@pntbrother.com)
  3. Enter “Subject” in the subject field. (example. Hello It’s me)
  4. Enter “Contents” in the contents field. (example. Hi How are you ?)
  5. Click “Insert” and click “Files as attachments“.
  6. This will open a file explorer, and you can choose files that you want to send.
  7. Use the left side search interface, locate the file that you want to send. (example. If the picture is saved in “Pictures”, click “Pictures”)
  8. Now, select the file by clicking it once, and click “Open” to attach it to your email.
  9. Just like Gmail instructions, if you have more files to send, repeat step 5 to 8.
  10. Click “Send” button to send the email.

Simple. Isn’t it ? This is how you can attach files to your email. Please note that most of the email service providers won’t allow you to send big files. (files with big size) If you have any difficulties or problems, feel free to leave a comment here. 😀
