Today we are sharing how to do hard reset and soft reset on HTC Desire 828 dual sim. Factory reset will erase everything on your HTC phone, so try to backup to save your file. There are few things you should check before performing hard reset.

  • Try to wipe cache partition first because it won’t delete any of your data. Problem could be resolved without deleting any data.
  • Since hard resetting erases all of your data, it’s safe to back up your important data.
  • Fully charge your phone before starting. A device might be turned off while progressing due to the lack of battery.

 

Soft Reset (Wipe Cache Partition)

01. Check if your device is completely shut down.

02. Press and Hold Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time and release all buttons when the option menu appears on the screen.

03. In HTC download mode, navigate to reboot to bootloader using volume down button and press power button to select it.

04. Now some options in colour will appears on the screen. Press volume down key to navigate to boot to recovery mode and press power key to select it.

05. If red exclamation mark with a triangle appears, press Power + Volume Up together.

Step 06. Select wipe cache partition using volume down and power buttons.

 

Hard Reset (Factory default settings)

01. Turn off your phone completely.

02. Press and Hold Volume Down + Power buttons at the same time and release all buttons when the HTC Logo appears on the screen.

03. In HTC download mode, navigate to reboot to bootloader using volume down button and press power button to select it.

04. Now some options in colour will appears on the screen. Press volume down key to navigate to boot to recovery mode and press power key to select it.

05. If red exclamation mark with a triangle appears, press Power + Volume Up together.

06. Select wipe data/factory reset using volume down and power buttons. When it’s asking to confirm, select Yes.

07. When you get a message “data wipe complete”, Select Reboot system now.
