Disable Startup Sound using Terminal on Macbook Pro OS X

Do you want to turn off startup sound on your Macbook?

Every time you turn on your macbook, You can probably hear the startup sound, and some people doesn’t want that startup sound comes up when starting. If you are the one who wants to get rid off that startup sound, Try the instruction we are sharing today. Today, We are going to share how to disable the startup sound through the terminal method. Please follow the instruction below to turn off the startup sound.

 

Step 01. Go to Application > Utilities > Terminal

 

 

Step 02. Launch Terminal in the utilities folder

 

 

Step 03. To disable the startup sound, Type sudo nvram SystemAudioVolume=%80 into the terminal. Reboot your Macbook! Finished 🙂

Re-Enable the Startup Sound

– Type sudo nvram -d SystemAudioVolume into the terminal. This command will enable the startup sound on your Mac.
