If your answer is Yes, your Mac might be affected by a Malware(or maybe a virus..). Recently, we had a Macbook Air in our shop with a problem. Wanna know the problem? The Macbook Air was generating an error message constantly. “Your computer is low on memory: To free up some memory, please close a few applications. As soon as we saw that message, the first thing we’ve checked was the amount of RAM, and we couldn’t believe because the Macbook Air had  8GB of RAM which was a plenty. Right after that, we checked all the programs that are running in the background. It was okay, then we did some research on Google, and found out that it is more like a virus(malware, adware, scareware, phishing, scam…) When you are infected by this nasty malware, you will see your computer is low on memory message all day long!! It is also hard to get rid of it because it’s got random file & folder name. In many cases, it is impossible to remove the malware files and folders because they are running in the background secretly, and when you terminate the program in the activity monitor, it restarts the program right away with different PID, but we have the solution! Now days, the cheapest Microsoft Office program is called “Home & Student” and it comes with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications. Pretty sweet right? But it is not free… it costs about $120 CAD. For some of you, it will be the biggest problem.. You need to pay for it to use it. So, we are here to share you a nice tip! Let’s go.

1. LibreOffice

LibreOffice is an open source office application like the Microsoft Office. it’s got Word, Excel, and the PowerPoint just like the Microsoft Office. You can also save new documents as Microsoft Office compatible formats like doc, docx, xlsx, ppt, pptx, and etc… To download the program, you can go to: https://www.libreoffice.org/ Download the application, then you can install it on your PC.

2. OpenOffice

Second option is OpenOffice. For people who has older Windows operating system, this OpenOffice works on older Windows unlike the LibreOffice. It is pretty much same as LibreOffice. It’s got Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Also it is Free!! It just has a little different user interface compare to LibreOffice. To download this application, you can go to: https://www.openoffice.org/

Hello everyone! It is P&T. It has been a long-time since we did update our blog. Because we are now uploading videos on our Youtube channel. (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMiqNrlHX5dpIE9-MTC0TCg) So, let’s talk about Windows 10. It’s also been a while since Microsoft introduced Windows 10 in the market, and we are using Windows 10 on our laptops. Recently, while we are working on a laptop with Windows 10, it restarted the computer itself without asking us a permission. Of course, we lost all the unsaved works…. After we have this restarting, we did research on how to stop this, and we found the solution for this. Here is how.

Let’s go to Windows Settings!

Let’s go to Windows Settings, then let’s go to Update & Security. Click Windows Update. In here, you will see an option called “Change active hours”. That is it! Click it, and now you will be able to set your working hours on your computer. Between that hours, Windows won’t restart itself to apply new Windows updates. We wish there is an option to turn the automatic update off, but there isn’t one on Windows 10. It is probably because of the security concerns. Anyways, that is how to avoid Windows restarting. Hello! Good day! Are you having a hard time because of your talking mobile phone? We know. We’ve seen it, and we know how to fix it! Many of our customers actually came to us with their android phones. Because their phones all talk to their master. When we first saw this, it was a surprising! Just relax and read this article to fix this annoying issue. Let’s get it fixed!

It is because of TalkBack. How do I stop TalkBack?

To fix it, there are few ways. First of all, we need to get into “Accessibility Options” in Settings, but probably, you are not able to do it. Because it talks back everything and you will not be able to scroll up & down. Try this:

1. Press both volume up & down keys together for about 5 seconds. This will turn on accessibility option on your phone. Then, you can simply look for “TalkBack” and disable it.

2. Go to “Settings” and “Accessibility” Look for “TalkBack” option and disable it. If you cannot scroll up & down, then on the top there is a search icon. Click the search icon to bring up the search, and type “TalkBack”, then double tab the “TalkBack” option to disable it.

Here is how to troubleshoot & fix all problems on Windows 10

First of all, go to “Settings” and go to “Update & Security”.

If you look at the left-side menu, there is a menu called “Troubleshoot”. Click it.

In here, you can see variety of troubleshoot options. From Wifi to Blue Screen troubleshooters.

Just click one of these options, and click “Run The Troubleshooter”.

This will launch Windows 10 troubleshooter. This will automatically look for issues, and then it will give you suggestions.

All you need to do is to click one of these recommended options to fix your problems.

If you have more than one fix options, try one by one, and see if the problem exists.
